Meet Cloud Nine Hair. Favoured by stylists and celebrities, these new ‘altogether kinder styling’ tools from the original team behind GHD put the ‘style’ back into hairstyling.

Stylish and innovative, Cloud Nine’s range of fantastic products easily gained popularity amongst professional salons and had a huge opportunity to make their mark in an ever growing consumer marketplace.

They needed a new eCommerce website to help persuade the public that these new tools were worth the premium price tag.

Our friends at brandthing were tasked to develop a new brand strategy and delivered a beautiful visual identity that is instantly recognisable and unique.

It was then our job to take the brand into the digital arena - with a multi-platform enterprise level eCommerce solution, as highly polished and intuitive as the new branding.

There’s a huge buzz for Cloud Nine around the world. It’s one of the fastest growing and most desirable hair styling brands in the business. The website was designed to support the powerful global brand strategy, with international sites in place in Germany and others in the pipeline.

Cloud Nine needed this site to have the wow-factor. They had the brand, now they needed the user experience and technology to back it up.

It was essential to deliver a beautiful new online platform to grow sales and brand awareness from day one - but flexible enough to grow and develop with the brand and engaging enough to keep customers on the hook beyond the initial sale.

Getting the customer journey right was essential - every element of the site was meticulously planned and prototyped - designed to lead users from a browsing experience to purchase as smoothly as possible.

The brand’s new caring mantra could be magnified through the online channels. Custom blogs with social integration offer tricks, tips and how-tos from the professional experts, as well as a unique ‘Know Your Hair, Love Your Hair’ tool - custom built to allow consumers to discover their personal Hair Type and access tailored information and tips to be kinder to their hair.

Working with such beautiful brand assets in a sector where expectations are very high, it was important that this site not only looked fantastic on all devices - but also worked like a dream, a single stumble in the customer journey would be unacceptable.

Enhanced by gorgeous branding and photography, we kept the site’s colour palette limited, neutral and feminine to complement the brand and keep the visitor’s focus on the content.
